2010

Another year has passed. Too quickly for my liking. Bad in many ways, but one of the best years of my life for a number of reasons, the chief reason being the coming together of Yuxin and I. lol.

Gonna miss friends in sg, and of cos Yuxin. But then friends here in msia remain close as always. Ask th and cr la. LOL.

It's gonna be a world cup year. Hope England can finally do it la. If not then I don't think they ever will.

My new year resolution? Do much better in my studies and make 'our' relationship work, hope it'll be a fruitful one. hahaha.

Soccer is damn fun la, but damn painful as well. My right ankle and right knee is getting weaker. Brian's last ditch tackle didn't help the cause (real match red card la, LOL).

And abrasion to my left thigh certainly didn't help. Those tights I've been wanting to buy would've been real handy.

A fun day, in a weird way

Woke up rather early, around 9 I think. Mum cooked a wonderful lunch, forgot what it was though. lol. Went out with chun ren and tuan hann, and spent the whole day in 1u. Going out with them can be very dangerous. Phone grabbing, missing people, a trip to Jusco for nothing etc. A special mention for ypl....ahem, mr. ooi should know who. HAHAHA

What was the name of the movie we watched again.....ermmmmmm, OHHHH. Jump i think, it was kinda funny in a weird weird way. Had pasta for dinner, had a good laugh with the shop owner. Really charming person. Decided to watch Storm Warriors, which screens at 11.30 p.m. Had to convince mum, managed to do so. Went to buy tickets for seats which were 3 rows away from screen (I still insist it wasn't my fault).

Ohhh, saw my cousin, and his 'friend' we never knew he had. Don't worry cuz, none of our family members ever reads my blog. Hope you and your lady friend had fun. LOL. Went to tuan hann's place right after buying our tickets. Shall skip this part cos it was not one of the best moments in my life...hahaha. Anyways Storm Warriors was ok. So I'm guessing that the next installment will be called ‘风 三’. My eyes are getting heavier by the minute. WOOOO

Hostel

OMG...can't believe we can finally see the floor of our room. We have finally cleaned our room, and we spent 2 whole hours doing it. Why? Cos we thought that the principal would check our rooms during the Mooncake festival celebration. In the end never check pulak...walao. All our efforts put to waste.

Celebration was ok I guess, loved the mooncakes and ice cream. Saw a few Cat High teachers, said hello and talked some. Oh yeah, my knee damn effing pain, walk also cannot walk properly.

Right now waiting for my laundry before I can shower. Sigh...thanks for the ice cream missile.

Of derbies and drama

Whew....now that the euphoria has gone.....are you kidding me? We beat Man City in a 7 goal thriller, of cos the euphoria won't be gone. MOTM: Mr. Ryan Giggs.

3 assist from the old guy, not bad leh. We screamed and shouted at Prata House, everyone looked at us as if we were some hoodlums from Malaysia. Well, we are from Malaysia, gentlemen from Malaysia that is. The celebration for Fletcher's first goal had a few seconds lag time cos we couldn't tell whether the ball had gone in or not.

Had to leave at the 60th min, stupid curfew. 3-2 when we got back to the hostel. Fletcher scored again. Damn happy. Then Bellamy scored pulak. I cursed and sweared. Kept bothering people online for the score update. Owen then last min score. What did I do? SCREAM LA DUH....

WASSUPPP????!!!! Lai lai lai...what has happened the past few weeks? Nothing much. Just stress, stress and more stress. Guess what? I spent 35 bucks on 2 meals today. Yup, sg dollars, 35 dollars, 2 meals. WTF man...but i have to say Carl's Junior owns.

Promos less than 2 weeks away, and I'm not prepared, not even close. Die liao la. Instead of being motivated to study more, I'm tired of studying. Don't get me wrong, I wanna study. BUT tutorials, assignments, eom, ir are coming thick and fast. Throw in revision for midyear topics and we'll have a good meal of 'Julianisdead'. Sleeping in lectures and tutorials have become a norm. Distractions? Just my beloved tvb drama, max an episode a day.

So where do I go from here? Hopefully not back to Malaysia....arggh

The start of the hols couldn't have gone any better. Class outing with fellow B's, ASEAN dance (which was surprisingly fun) and of course going back to Malaysia later, albeit for 3/4 days only.

Class outing was fun, of course fun la, I there ma. Anyways now too high till I can't sleep. 2 a.m. now, got GP remedial at 7.30 a.m. later. ASEAN dance rocked, so many old friends, and of course new ones. The highlight of the evening? DILLON AND I FOUND OUR BALLS.

We have finally redeemed ourselves for our gaffe 2 years ago. WE ASKED GIRLS TO DANCE WITH US...TWICE!!! lol. If you knew me, it's a major breakthrough. The whole night was spent on the dancefloor, dancing/jumping around like idiots. I could've had my 3rd dance with a girl if my shirt wasn't so wet from the previous dances. No, not that kind of wet, just dripping sweat from the non-stop workout. It was more tiring than soccer practices. I just realized that I missed dinner. OMG...damn hungry.

After effects of the dance? More laundry, loss of voice, pain in the legs, and probably a scolding by my GP teacher later...oh well it was worth it.

My 华文 not bad

Hostel soccer competition this morning, play until damn dulan. The damn PRC's don't play soccer, they play 'kick leg then kick ball'. This sport pisses me off man. Don't know about the rest of my mates but I was on the verge of hitting one of em. 2 separate incidents stood out in this match.

The first was when our goalie was body-checked by their player. Foul la duh, but the knn PRC still wanna argue with the ref saying that it was bloody legal. So I was like 'Do you even know how to play soccer? You can't freaking touch the goalie.' I said this in chinese, with him replying 'What you say?' ironically in english. The convo ended with him scolding me 'F*** you' and me, well, ignoring him.

The second incident won us the game, and won me painful nights ahead. 2 assholes sandwiched me when I was in midair, trying to head the ball. The end result? Let me put it this way, I'm using counterpain lotion on my back and it burns. Some idiot still had the nerve to say that it was my fault. Obviously enraged, I questioned his knowledge of soccer while hurling insults at him, in chinese. Have you ever had this situation where you are in so much pain, but you just wanna laugh your ass off? That was my case as I saw the puzzled look in his eyes.

He was like 'WTF??? THIS DUDE UNDERSTANDS CHINESE?' while I tried to stop myself from bursting into laughter.想用华文压我？想得美. Anyway we did win the match, the penalty of course, and not before receiving a few more kicks to my ankle.

Free movie tickets for winning the soccer tournie, but at the price of a few extra medical bills. WTF

Any Given Sunday

Met up with Malaysian Cat High scholars to celebrate TN's birthday. Had to go all the way to Bukit Timah. So long didn't see them, all still look the same. Dillon with his cock face, Wei Chen with his blur face, Dong Lum and Yong Khang like their usual loud selves, TN bday boy, so cannot say anything. E Yang like somebody who just got out from jail. Perret no need say cos see him all the time, like no diff.

Paid 25 bucks for lunch, some Japenese buffet. My spending this week has exceeded 200 bucks. Damn. Food was damn nice, the supply was endless, I guess.

Oh, and almost ALL of them have a gf now, even E Yang. Feel damn 自卑. Went for movies after that, then dinner, then go back hostel. Only managed to study ionic equilibria, damn. Long weekend wasted just like that.

Monday was the most painful pw session ever. No thanks to my beloved pw mates. You watch out....

Went to Queensway to check out class shirt with JJ and Jia Le. An attempt to 讨价还价 over the F10 futsal boots was a complete failure. It was an utter disaster.

Anyways, more money gone. Lets see how much I've spent the past week.

Long time no blog. I would love to blog about what's been happening between my last post and this one, but lets leave it at that shall we?

So, woke up at 12 today, tried to do EOM till 2. Obviously failed. So went out with 2 of my room mates to have lunch, at 3 p.m. K.F.C again. I've lost count of the number of times I've eaten K.F.C for the past month or so.

Anyway went to Fairprice later to replenish my food storage which was drying up. 20 bucks worth of snacks. WHOA.... Walked past a stall selling bags, one caught my eye. So I asked the uncle to let me take a look at it. 45 bucks, I was like wtf. I told him I'd think about it, so went shopping for groceries first.

When I went back , I planned to use chinese to 讨价还价 with the uncle. Obviously with 2 Indonesian room mates and me looking the least bit like a chinese, it was the best chance I had to convince the dude to lower his asking price. Armed with courage and a merit grade for my chinese oral exam, I 讨价还价-ed.


Me: Uncle, 可以35块吗?

Uncle: 35 块不可以. 不 如 38 块. 你让一步我让一步.

Me: 这样可以 check 先吗?

Uncle: 可以.

So obviously I checked the bag to make sure that it was in perfect condition, and it was. So 38 bucks for a bag which was originally 45 bucks. Looks like chinese is useful after all....所谓尺有所短, 寸有所长; 物有所不足, 智有所不明.

After futsal, when to 1u. Of cos go 1u la, where else to go? What did we do there? The usual lor. Arcade, fussball, movie marathon etc. Can't believe we watched Monsters vs Aliens, 3D somemore. Sigh...wait, that was the other day. Oh, watched Drag me to hell, loads of scares, loads of fun. ZY had to leave early, so CR, TH and I decided to splash the cash.On what? Ice cream la...but not your usual 'ais krim', this is the one, the only.....HAAGEN DAZS!!!

Ok la, it was just a scoop per person, but you gotta admire our courage to sit at the restaurant while the rest stared at us as we made sure we finished every last bit of ice cream by any mean possible.

My uncle played a birthday song for me through the phone, parents came all the way down to sg to celebrate with me, while Man U won the league. Oh, did I mention that Man U won the league? The PERFECT birthday present. Lazy to upload pics now, maybe later. Still have my physics lecture test coming up, not to mention my GPP and GP essay. Who cares? Man U are champions...WOOHOO!!!!!!

Corrective Work Order, which is something you do when you are punished for wrongdoing. My wrong in this case was because i allegedly got in a fight/wrestled with some fellas. These some fellas happened to be my friends. We happened to be bored while waiting for our teacher, so we had some fun. It was deemed as 'harmful' to our school, how so I really don't know. To make matters worse, I wasn't even really involved in the so called 'wrestle mania'.

College Orientation part 3

Surprisingly, disco night/mass dance was quite fun. My new classmates were quite friendly. The cat high gang were running all over the place doing crazy moves and stuff. When mass dance suddenly started, couldn't find my partner, so I danced with some random girl from 0922 if I'm not wrong. Didn't quite catch her name, but she was kinda cute. Sorry for not being a better dance partner than I was, and to my actual dance partner, sorry for not being there. Also sorry to say no pictures were taken during this event as we were busy having fun. Reached hostel quite late though, damn tired.

After today, I daresay I’m on the verge of disliking soccer. College tryouts/training was today. Many people were there, thinking we were in for some fun. We thought wrong. Training was damn sick, and I can’t play for nuts now, thanks to not playing field soccer for 2 years plus. Shuttle run from one goal post to another, countless push ups etc. were the menu of the day. Yeah it was tough, but on the bright side, I can improve my fitness level, on the downside, practice is three times a week, each time 3 hours of grueling exercise, and the one today was supposedly lenient. Thought of trying again, but idea shot down by caring mum worried about my niggling knee injury, time for study and on the whole my well being. So it’s final, no soccer team…maybe the joke club? Have been emo-ing the past few days, hormones maybe? Getting screwed by new hostel officer for disobeying curfew hours in my first week in Parry Hall certainly did not help. Hope it passes.
